First, let's talk about the implementation principle. Many domestic applications in China support payment with VISA cards. We recharge the VISA card with USTD and then we can directly use it for consumption on mainstream Chinese apps.
This method is suitable for users on Twitter who often encounter U, for daily consumption, and who don't want to withdraw funds for fear of being frozen.
Let's first talk about the card we use - Depay, a virtual card created by a British Chinese company, which seems relatively niche. The official website also mentioned that if you are not confident, you can try with a small amount first. I only shared it after successfully binding and using it for payment. The special feature of this card is that you can directly recharge U into it and then convert it into fiat currency. Because many platforms in China allow direct binding of foreign currency cards, U can be used for consumption.
It can be confirmed that this is a company created by Chinese people, and it has the following characteristics:#
- Depay Master Visa card supports binding with Alipay, WeChat Pay, Meituan Takeaway, Pinduoduo, Paypal (China, US, Hong Kong), Tmall International, and more.
- Supports ChatGPT Plus recharge, Stripe merchants, Google Play Store, YouTube Premium, Paypal merchants, US Apple Store, and e-commerce websites that support non-3DS cards.
- Supports direct card binding and purchase of iPhones and Macs on the official Apple website in China. They may call to inquire, just tell them directly.
- Supports USDT recharge, and then directly consumes with VISA/master card, eliminating the risk of OTC exchange (many people have their bank accounts frozen).
- Can open a card without KYC (but with fees and monthly fees), supports USDT recharge, and achieves completely anonymous payment (this will be explained in detail later).
Registering a Depay account#
Click here to register a Depay account, you can use an email or phone number. I used a Google email for registration. (You can use my referral code: 681330)
Depay has a small issue, sometimes the verification code reception is slow, so you need to be patient. If you haven't received it after 2 minutes, you can request the verification code again.
After successfully registering an account, you will be prompted to download their app. For iPhone users, you need to log in to an overseas Apple account. For Android users, you can directly download the apk (note that this type of app must be downloaded from the official website). Wait patiently for the app to finish installing, then log in to Depay with the account and password you just registered.
Applying for the first card#
Click on "Apply for Card" in the top left corner of the interface to open a virtual credit card. When applying for the card, you can choose between a card with no opening fee or one with a 10 USDT opening fee. The difference is that the card with no opening fee requires KYC authentication, which means you need to upload your ID card (Chinese ID card is fine) or passport for verification. If you don't want to upload your ID card or passport for real-name authentication temporarily, you can choose the card with a 10 USDT opening fee, but then you need to remember to transfer an additional 10 USDT. The advanced card and platinum card have opening fees of 10U and 50U, respectively. You can decide whether to open them based on the monthly fee, fees, and limits.
I used ID card authentication and opened a standard Master card.
Note: If you want to use this card anonymously from the beginning, please choose the Lite card. If you want to upgrade to a higher-level card as soon as possible, then directly open a standard card, because whether it's an advanced card, platinum card, or black card, KYC is required.
After the card is opened, we can recharge USDT into Depay.
Open the Depay app wallet, find Wallet - USDT - Deposit - copy your deposit address, and make sure the main network displayed on the screen is TRC20.
Do not copy the deposit address incorrectly!
Open the Ouyi App, find Home - Assets - Withdraw - USDT - On-chain Withdrawal.
Fill in the withdrawal address with the deposit address in the Depay wallet, select TRC20 as the withdrawal network (do not select incorrectly, otherwise it won't arrive), select a quantity greater than 23 USDT, which is enough to recharge for one month of ChatGPT Plus membership, then submit and wait for it to arrive.
After successfully withdrawing from Ouyi to Depay and completing the recharge, convert USDT to USD and then open the card.
Deposit the exchanged dollars into the card. After activation and opening, the card will have money in it. The validity period of this card is 3 years.
Click on CVV security code to receive the verification code and you will be able to see the detailed information.
